In addition to our scheduled cleaning periods, we have increased the frequency of cleaning in our auditoriums and other spaces at our cinemas, this includes high touch-point surface areas. Patrons are encouraged to dispose of their rubbish at the conclusion of their movie session.  

Yes, we are working closely with our staff to ensure they are trained COVID-19 safety, this includes serving of food and drinks. We have ensured that our staff are educated in COVID-19 and will be encouraged to stay at home if they feel unwell to help stop the spread. 

The safety of our guests are staff is our biggest priority. We will issue you with a refund or voucher to use for your next visit to the movies. 

If your membership expired after 23rd March 2020 we have added an extension of 6 months to your membership.   

The safety of our patrons and staff is our biggest priority. We have introduced staggered session times and spaced seating in our cinemas in line with Government restrictions. We have signage and markers throughout our foyer and cinemas to help with maintaining social distancing. All patrons are asked to maintain the adequate distance from other patrons outside of their group.

  • Follow distance markers, this includes any movement through the foyer area and in our cinemas 
  • Always practice good hygiene and wash hands frequently
  • Place your rubbish in the bin at the conclusion of sessions
  • Cover coughs/sneezes, dispose of tissues and make use of the available hand sanitiser 
  • Refrain from attending the cinema if feeling unwell to ensure a safe and comfortable experience for everyone


Our programs run from Thursdays to Wednesdays each week, new programs are generally available from Tuesday afternoon.

Recently we have introduced our VIP membership cards; this allows the holder to purchase $10.00 tickets for themselves only at any time and also offers a 10% discount off all candy bar items. There is a joining fee of $25.00, upon which you will enjoy a complimentary ticket at the time of purchase and upon every 12 month renewal.

Unfortunately our system does not allow us to book tickets over the phone or internet. However, you are more than welcome to come into the cinema and purchase your tickets at any point during the day

Our child prices are available to children 4-14 years of age. Entry is free for children 0-3. If your child is 15 years or older and does not present a student card/concession transport card they will be regarded as an adult.

Cinema 3 is the only cinema which has disabled access, located downstairs at the back of the foyer. Sessions which are showing in this cinema are indicated by (c3) on our paper program and by (DA) on our website.

Tickets prices for 3D movies are the same as our general admission prices. 3D glasses cost $1 from the candy bar, however you are welcome to keep these and use them in future.

At Nelson Bay cinema our tickets are only sold individually, at the price of $17.00 for adults, $14.50 for concessions and $12.50 for children
